University Fires Professor After Dinosaur Find — Yes, the priests on the left had to fire scientist Mark Armitage after he discovered dinosaur fossils that contained soft tissue. The discover puts to death the age-old claim that dinosaurs died out millions of years ago and indicates that dinosaurs were around as recently as a few thousand years ago. This goes against the religious dogma of the evolution crowd. This group of people cannot tolerate anything that is contrary to their religious tenants, especially a claim that dinosaurs roamed the earth in Jesus day.
“Terminating an employee because of their religious views is completely inappropriate and illegal,” commented Brad Dacus, President of PJI. “But doing so in an attempt to silence scientific speech at a public university is even more alarming. This should be a wakeup call and warning to the entire world of academia,” he continued.
While at a dig at Hell Creek formation in Montana, the scientist, Mark Armitage, came upon the largest triceratops horn ever unearthed at the site. When examining the horn under a high-powered microscope back at CSUN, Armitage was fascinated to see the soft tissue. The discovery stunned members of the scientific community because it indicates that dinosaurs roamed the earth only thousands of years in the past rather than going extinct 60 million years ago.According to court documents, shortly after the original soft tissue discovery, a university official challenged the motives of Armitage, by shouting at him, “We are not going to tolerate your religion in this department!”
Yet, their religion is fine. We can’t let science get undermine the views of the day! Please note, what is taking place is at the absolute opposite of science. True science would have looked at the claims to verify if they were true or not. But since most of those in the scientific community are more religious than the church lady, we can’t have that.
Al Mohler on Ebola and Ann Coulter — This one really surprised me when I read. It surprised me first because Ann Coulter doesn’t thing medical missionaries should go over seas to reach people for Christ with the gospel AND medicine. She calls the doctor who did so “idiotic.” Mohler takes her to task for doing so. She is showing her limited world view… in other words, we should send all our missionaries to Hollywood so then we could have a real effect for the world. The gospel doesn’t work that way, and neither should we.
The problem with her view of trying to get some Hollywood mogul saved so he can do great things for Christ is two fold: first, the moment he gets saved is the moment that his influence evaporates in Hollywood. Nobody wants anything to do with the mogul who “found Jesus.” Trust me on this one. The world hates Christ and those who follow Him. If you don’t trust me, trust Jesus. He is the one that said that first.
Secondly, even if the mogul were to get saved and make movies about the gospel, supposedly leading millions to Christ, then everyone would say, “see what money can do? See what power and influence can do?” The same thing it did with that epic trash called The Passion of Christ: NOTHING! God will not share His glory with another! Movies, even well-intentioned ones, are not the means by which the gospel is spread to those in need. Preaching is the means. So quit hoping as Ann Coulter that someone famous would get saved. The church doesn’t need someone famous. We don’t need any more rock-star preachers. We have all we need, Jesus Christ as the Gospel.
